A better mousetrap

Recently I decided to watch the longest running West End production. Agatha Christie's Mousetrap may be the longest running, but frankly it sucks. The acting is a mixture of 40's style histrionics, exaggerated facial movements reminiscent of synchronized swimmers and the sense that you are constantly watching people act. As opposed to forgetting that fact and getting immersed in the story. How sad and how terrible.

To be sure, the guy who played the part of the nutter, the old foreign guy and a couple of others (occasionally) were okay. But overall, highly disappointing. The play I reviewed in Wellington was light years better in comparison.

Stay away until someone builds a better mousetrap. Sorry, couldn't resist that!
