Notes on the blog

After several months of blogging, I would like to thank the faithful reader. Yes, you know who you are. And, sadly, only you.

Some trends have been observed: interesting, amusing, disturbing. Firstly, the high quality of some of the comments calls into question the very assumption of intelligence on my part. I think I have a mass-murdering orthodontist reading this blog.

Then there are the phantom visitors. There is the one from ".yu". I too, thought Yugoslavia was extinct. And clicking on that visitor on Sitemeter always results in "visit not found". I think I am being tracked by the KGB. Also the strange visits from Mexico, no referrals, direct visits from an unknown fan who remembers my blog's address.

And lastly, there are the folks getting on to me through Google, whose identities I would trade for an arm and a leg. The search terms that redirected them include:
  • "Secret truth about herpes": I'd like to see the look on the face of his/her girlfriend/boyfriend
  • "Test if you are gay": I'd like to see the look on his/her face when he/she find out. If you are thinking it, you are.
  • "John Apollo Liberia": poor sap, or soon to be
  • "Gorrillas throwing feces": I really do not want to know what this reader does for a living, or for pleasure
